Introduction

On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) has characterized COVID-19 as a pandemic due to exponential increase of the number of cases in more than 100 countries. On March 16, 2020, President Rodrigo Duterte placed the entire Philippines under a state of calamity amid the threats posed by COVID-19. The “enhanced community quarantine” (ECQ) which is effectively a lockdown affected the citizens especially the majority poor where food is urgently needed.

Overview

In view of the global crisis due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, CREST has provided RM 10,000 to Philippines IDRN.

Objective

1.Distribution of Basic Relief Goods for the Elderly. Needy Families, and Unemployed

2.Distribution of Face Mask for the Frontliners (Police and Military Checkpoints).

3.Possible provision of most needed Medical Supplies for Selected Hospitals or Health Center

4. Distribution of Disinfecting Equipment and Solution for different places in Metro Manila.
