2 Disaster Awareness Sharing, Penang

28 Jan – CREST thanks Penang Wesley Methodist Church for inviting our Director, Rev Dr Ng Swee Ming, to preach God’s message “Mission in Crisis” at their Sunday services.

In the afternoon, the church hosted a 2-hour disaster awareness program for members of Trinity and Wesley Methodist churches. Some of the members brought their friends too.

20 out of the 60+ attendees indicated their interest to attend a one-day preparedness training. The awareness event was shared by CK Cheong.

3 Disaster Awareness Workshop at Malaysian Care, Kuala Lumpur

12 Jan – CREST was invited by our mission partner, Malaysian CARE to conduct a workshop on disaster preparedness for Fire. We are working together to draft and implement fire evacuation at Malaysian CARE headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. Despite of the rain that afternoon, every staff had a chance to practice the use of fire extinguisher. Approximately 35 full time staff attended to the workshop.
